News Beat: India smashed Sri-Lanka by 50 runs in Asia Cup

Mirpur: Yesterday played second match of Asia cup 2012 between India and Sri Lanka both teams played really well but finally India smashed Sri Lanka by 50 runs. Lankan Captain M Jayawardene won the toss and elected to field first.

They have started really well and got recently breakthrough for Tendulkar who seeking his 100^th century for a while, but after fall down a wicket Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli took a charged to sustain Indian scores and both players got centuries Gambhir (100 from 181 balls) and Kohli (108 from 120 balls) after them Dhoni and Raina scored well in the depth over’s and moved their total to 304.

Sri-Lanka start his innings really good but on a score of 31 they gave them a wicket of Dilshan who scored just 7 runs. After this Jayawardene and Sangakkara played really well and easily moving their target but he didn’t stay as much as he wants and caught behind by Pathan on 78 runs. After skipper no one can easily stay on the crease and all team out on 254. The top scorers of Lanka are Jayawardene 78 and Sangakkara 65. Pathan got 4 wickets and V Kumar & Aswin picked 3 wickets.
